Oops went shopping.... again LOL, the last 2 were stepping stones to get where I am now.... nothing comes without hard work... I could go newer but to be honest I can care less... I have a sweet rare boat with Speedmaster drives... Kevlar layup and rough water ready boat is a 1987 it is have the same owner since 1990 I am the third owner....has 548" tall decks with dominators, not sure if I am swapping power with mine yet... super cool boat never destroyed or touched, still has factory gauges and steering wheel!! needs TLC but shes rock solid and exactly what I was looking for, been sitting on this one since April while I entertained other options, those options got me to where I am now and at the end of the day I wanted a heavier layup and speedmasters... I can go run this the way I like to....

Thx for the help Ryan (Sonic700) here for helping make this deal happen... time to get to work!!!!

Bud, It's not the end of the road, it is the beginning of the journey! Congrats on your purchase, very cool, love that the Hawk insignias are still intact, grew up lusting after "Hawk Power" 38 that was local. Enjoy!

vintage chromoly 11-12-2017 07:37 AM

Keep the tall deck hawk engines!
No modifications to the exhaust needed.
Better parts in the bottom end.
better intake and carb.
more room to grow CI wise in the future with the tall decks.

i really like the colors and the cleanliness of the rigging too.

Nice......Congrats!

jeff32 11-12-2017 08:52 AM

phragle 11-12-2017 09:01 AM

Sweet!!!

Rick G 11-12-2017 09:18 AM

Congrats Tim , nice ride . You mentioned it being a heavier lay up . I have an 85 Flat Deck Kevlar cig and I found the boat to be real solid but in fact a little lighter . Curious to see what you find out . Also does the 87 gun have the notch in the hull or did that come the following year . Cheers Rick G.

Padraig 11-12-2017 09:20 AM

Nice, how did you find that one? First I thought that was the boat that was for sale earlier this year with a real goofy trailer (someone added an axle to it). But it looks different. Congratulations, Probably going to be a lot of sitting in it making fake motor noises waiting for spring.

baywatch 11-12-2017 02:57 PM

Old school cool!!! Congrats.

payuppsucker 11-12-2017 06:29 PM

Congrats dude, nice rig. WTF is the claw hammer doing in the cabin? Hanging pictures or getting a non willing participant lined out?

I was helping a buddy look for guns in April, it was sent to me by someone, after he bought a Sea Ray I kept this in my back pocket while I poked around, kept going back to it... so I bought it..

The other one your talking about my buddy bought, was 88 Hawk Boat... with that abortion trailer..

outonsafari 11-12-2017 09:35 PM

very cool classic boat, congratulations
november in cleveland so no sea trial right ?
get to take it home or is it packed away in there for the winter ?

Full Force 11-12-2017 10:01 PM

I need to do a few small things then I'm gonna try to take it for a spin.. before it gets too cold

sprsptr 11-13-2017 08:18 AM

Bud, Took my Tiger for a pre - purchase blast in Chesapeake Bay January of 2016, it was awesome. Gave me the incentive to brave another miserable winter. They run stronger in the cold and no problem getting dock space at the Marina after!:evilb:

Been there and done that. The only problem is that anyone that see you thinks you have brain damage.

Full Force 11-13-2017 08:43 AM

tons more space, v berth is about the same, I have the couch and 2 chair setup.. the couch is at least 5'5" long the mistress is 30" the chairs and console is ok for chillin, you can sit up in the gun with extra headroom, has enclosed head... way more storage.. it's just huge cabin over the mistress.

kreed 11-13-2017 04:24 PM

Did you put a moisture meter on this one??? Lol...congrats..cool boat.
