I must be blind, I read through your thread and seen where people were congratulating you and a couple of guys poking fun and I'm sure just to be sarcastic. I never seen anyone say or think that you were dumb, but I did see you call someone stupid! I come to the forum to learn and connect with people that have the same interest that I do, not to bicker. I just tried to point out that sometimes its better to just move on, instead of starting conflict with someone. Everyone has an opinion just like an a$$hole!! So I'm moving on!

Ooooh, I wish that would work for me. At a min, ASD7M, would prefer 8M, but pricey, pricey, way too pricey!.

What ASD's are you looking at? I will have a complete used twin engine ADS6 set up and a single engine ADS6 set up available shortly.

Hey Timmy, how's this boat going to handle the rough without TRS drives?.....

Finally had a chance to water test it today, been sitting a few years so was nervous, all went well!
Only big issue was was when they put steering rams back on after seals the lines were flipped, so if you steer right boat goes left! And so on... that was fun lol Aside from that ran flawless, saw 70@5500 in literally flat water, some 4 blades and chop I’m sure there’s more, but happy it went away running! Props now are 16.5x27 3 blades |
Nice now time to start taking it apart. ......
Well done Tim!
Whats the drive ratio? 70 mph with 27 pitch seems low? Good to hear everything went well!

Awesome to hear!

Thanks, I am sure theres some more speed there as lake was spit flat, the guy that built engines said they are very rich tuned for the past owner (did not wrench at all) so he set up safe, probably a 74-75 mph boat done, I am not that concerned at this point about the numbers, I have the driveline I need for the kind of boating I do, I am not sure what HP is but feel even swapping mistress engines in is not going to be a huge change..so I am going to leave it alone mechanically.
Wow ice skating in hell never thought I'd see that....
Just joking with u
Good looking boat. Someone went all out on those CG numbers in the bilge! :D
Lol
Factory number 3 boats had a very deep x dimension. You probably won't gain much going to 4 blade props
Correct just seems most guys run the 4 blades, I will know more in spring when I get some chop under the boat, I am honestly ok with seeing 70 so far. I will play with it next summer just over the blowing trs’s Up lol
Nice ride, looks like you ended up with what you wanted! Ill be on the lookout for it at Casino!
