I'm sure there are many on here thinking the same about their boat.

I will share some observations/experiences. The T/G has a significantly roomier cockpit. Sorry I don't remember exactly, but I believe there is 11" more space between the bench and the bolsters. Also, the T/G 's engine room is larger and provides easier access for service and maintenance. The pre - stepped T/G has a much more civilized cabin which may be an important consideration. My boat had an enclosed pump out head and a sink. The Tiger has a porta-potti, and no sink. The T/G has been a mainstay in the line for literally 3 decades, and they are relatively plentiful. Tiger straight bottoms are about 14 total production. Obviously, coming from a Cafe you will notice more difference with the Tiger's additional 7' and deeper free board.T/G's seem to more desirable, and may hold their value better. The difference in how they handle is apparent immediately. The T/G rides more neutral, and seems to be a more forgiving design. My Tiger tends to feel lighter in the nose and is more responsive and sensitive to drive and tab adjustments, (could be those big blower motors and 6 drives), and likes a little tab at big speed. The main advantage of the Tiger lies is it's ability to span waves. My passengers routinely comment on how gently she lands after big air and are always surprised that they braced and cringed for nothing! The tip of the nose is 27'+ from the helm so it absolutely crushes waves, but is difficult to see over coming on plane if you are short, ( I am 5'7"). Powered moderately, I probably would prefer a T/G. I feel a Tiger needs at least 575 hp a side, and I would have a hard time buying a Tiger without 6 drives, Bravo's don't do well pushing 7 or 8 tons at big power levels. Given the drive train my Tiger came with, it was a no brainer to keep it and sell the T/G. Finally, consider towing if you are so inclined. My Tiger is much happier behind my long bed crew cab F-350 DRW, than behind my short bed extended cab F-350 SRW at speeds over 60 mph. There really is no bad choice here. My advice would be to go with the best boat you can find within your budget, and get a survey. Folks on this forum are very helpful and there is always input from someone who owned, sold or remembers "that boat". As you already know, any Cigarette is worth the effort. Good Luck!
this^^^^ dead on nuts.

we owned a 95 3a / 525sc gun and I have probably as much, if not more, seat time in both a bravo EFI 500 cafe and a 1000hp / 6 tiger. The difference from a cafe / gun to a tiger is pretty noticeable. Like said above tiger with big power and 6’s is a MONSTER in big water. Also not too bad around the docks but I wouldn’t tow one with out at least a 3/4 ton dually. On a steel myco you’ll be into the 15k lb range.

Cafe’s and gun’s are very similar in handling, towing, comfort ride etc. the guns hull is more efficient however. You won’t notice a huge difference going from a cafe to a gun.

I guess bottom line is whatever you end up with, you’ll dig it.

Pretty sure they made 3/4 ton duallys in the 80's and 90's. Meh, whatever. Point being, I personally wouldn't go towing a Tiger on a Myco with nothing less than a dually. Focker's are HEAVY

All good bro!

I remember vividly how gnarly towing a Tiger was. It actually busted the after market tow hitch on my Dually! LOL

I have no issues with my Long Bed Crew Cab F 350 Dually, the power stroke is plenty strong. Mileage averages 13-14. Unlike towing my T/G, you never forget it is back there! The hitch I am using is factory Ford, knocked out the insert and went with a class 5 Reese forged 4" drop, and torqued the snot outa the nut and check it every time I yank the beast. Incidentally Rob, What is wrong with my boat having a full figure?

Offshore, I’ve been following your build; what would you buy if your sold your labor of love?
