LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — Two people were hospitalized on Saturday evening when a powerboat overturned at the 1.3 Mile Marker of the Lake’s Gravois Arm.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 55-year-old Troy Garison, of Lee’s Summit, Mo., was driving the 2000 38-foot Cigarette southboound, at around 5:20 p.m. The boat was going “too fast for conditions,” according to the Patrol’s report, when it overturned and ejected Garison along with passengers 48-year-old Dawn Briney of Ozawke, Kan., and 38-year-old Audra Erk, of Pleasant Hill, Mo.
A witness reported the boat had appeared to be trying to avoid a PWC that had driven into its path, turning sharply and subsequently overturning the powerboat. That person said the driver appeared to be unconscious in the water briefly, though the Patrol did not report injuries for Garison, who authorities say was not wearing a life jacket.
The two passengers, Briney and Erk, sustained moderate injuries and were taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment.
Sounds like all will be ok...hope so.

We were up the Gravois arm on Sunday and it was just insane the number of jet skis and even pontoon boats that just cut right across our path almost like they were daring for you to hit them. Glad everyone will be OK and hopefully Fade to Black lives to ride another day.
