Yep, especially if they were tuned for idle without the chillers and especially with the cool water temps of Lake Michigan.

VortechSS , by all accounts I lost 3 mph on the big end and nowhere else. Actually picked up 3mph at cruise (different ratio drives)
However totally worth it , she flies straight and the hop is gone.
Tfarmer turned me on to this mod and sold me his 5`s. Those Canadian farmers... they`re alright

I was at ROTO with 80* water but yes, 3 turns out on the carbs vs. 1.5 without chillers. I`ll be re rigging that set up. with engines in it is hard to put in a separate pickup.

Since you added intercoolers are you going to get some party pulleys?

I changed pulleys from -3% to over drive the blower at 2%. ends up being about the sme boost (7psi) with chillers. At the end of the day trying to make this heavy 80`s era boat fast is a waste of time. I got 90mph out of her once. I`m fine with that. At this point reliability is my main concern.
