The motors in the 38 are not staggered and I don't know why the 38 is faster, but I have heard that before. I don't have any experience with a 35 TS so I have no idea.

It's true with lots of boats,

29 fountain faster than a 27 with same power
35 faster than the 32 with the same power

It has to do with the balance of the boat.

2001 TS with Whipple Intercooled 575s (approx 650-675) ran 97 on GPS in the spring. The rest of the summer it ran around 91-93mph. Great boat and for sale in the classifieds. Spine tickler

Spine Ticker your boat is beautiful, What drives do you have? If they are Bravo's, have you had any problems?

Thanks. Ive been getting some calls inquiring about the boat. I have XRs and have had some drive problems. I would have them checked at around 50 hours before they would gernade. Ive only been stranded once. I always had a spare so I wouldnt miss a weekend. Spine Tickler

The speed differance in the 35' Playboy TS and the 38' TG TS is the the Playboy editions come well appointed full cabins and accessories(sp) and the 38' TG TS many peolple just get the covergirl cabins or F-2 layups making them much lighter than the 35's. and also mentioned earlier the balance of the 2 boats is way different with the same power in both. hope this helps, also check the vrochures and see if the dry weight is on them.

how bout this my 28' Cig is slower than both with more HP I'm pushing 2x600hp 454's and only seeing 78-82mph on given days.
