After so many miles it warned me it was going to reduce my top speed to 45MPH and I need to get the emissions serviced. I stopped to fill it up with diesel and topped off the DEF tank which was about half full and the warning light shut off. On the way home we saw a pickup pulling a camper driving around 45MPH on the highway where the speed limit was 65mph. It was a busy highway with cars and trucks whizzing by this camper, dangerous to say the least. My oldest son said he must be having emission issues🤣. What are we doing??? I love the truck but the DEF system sucks. I get 8mpg pulling a 34 Powerquest.
I don’t like to hear that at all!! 🤦‍♂️😞 we tow in 100 plus degree weather too which is hard on everything. We’ll see how it goes.

The lift kit, tires and wheels are going to cost you a bunch on milage too. Once you hook up "The Devil", you probably should have just gotten a sport semi for just towing. I've always said for years if I was going to tow a large boat across country, to buy an older semi, cut the rear member off of it, lower it down and go with that. Their milage is not that much different than a 1 ton dragging a large load and much cheaper to buy. I had a cousin retire from trucking last year, sold his custom Pete for 40K, with a polished reefer trailer, probably had another 200,000 miles left in her before it needed an overhaul.

yeah. The lift and tires are NOT gonna help anything lol. I’d love to have a slammed Pete! We looked at buying an F650 but one drive in it the family was like, nope. Rides like a dump truck.

Air ride on the big trucks is pretty good these days, especially with a single axle and only towing 20,000 lbs ish.

Go ahead and order the bags and wireless one compressor if you are lifting it. My lifted 3500 Denali with single wheel sagged just hooked to the 33 without air bags.
