Dan , just not the same without the surge . Distinctive blower motor attribute otherwise your boat would sound like mine an NA motor boat boat with a blower hatch lol . RG .

Personally I'm not a fan of blower surge.

A lot of efi's have a timing vs rpm table for idle. Higher idle rpms usually you pull timing, lower than target rpm you add timing. No switch needed.

I know quite a few guys that don't run an iac and just use the idle rpm vs timing table with good results.

I just noticed, is that a crank trigger? Even without surge just looked to be jumping some.

The display is not measuring timing, it’s displaying its target, which moves with rpm, vacuum, ect, iat, and other parameters

It`s displaying real time timing but it`s a EFI so it is trying to control desired idle with timing /fuel etc .

During surge that IAC is working overtime to try and control that idle thou lol
