Very hard to understand why they would do that when you are that far into the motor, there isn't much more expense to do it right? I guess if your putting an engine in a $10,000 boat and just want to get it running as cheap as possible, but not to a Cig that looks to be it pretty good shape. Without talking directly to the owner its pretty hard to get the whole story

ivs recently heard sooooo many issues from people complaining about manning. Time frames that were missed and overall unhappy people. I would consider evolution as I know a lot of people have been happy as well.

I think the expense for engine work is big numbers and folks look the respective cost and then just do whatever is cheapest. At least there was total transparency. I went and looked at the 2001 Top Gun in the OSO Classifieds (red and white) http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...at-o79083.html. When I went to look at it last August it had two engines and two outdrives with the representation that the engines were good - but one engine had its intake manifold removed and the story was that the engine was good and just needed the manifold put back on as it had just been powder coated. Maybe that was true but coupled with the removal of the motors and the boat now being sold for $100,000 without the motors - raises questions.... although who knows.... .

I looked at the boat and I will just say the pictures look a lot better then seeing it in person. A couple of the steps were chipped and needed to be fixed, also some paint work didn't look right. The deck was filthy it was covered with some kind of black stuff, dirt? Also the deck may of had some gel coat work done in a couple of places, but too dirty to get a good look. I looked at the boat after I talked to Will about the engine work so I didn't have much interest at that point but checked it out anyway since I drove over 100 miles to see it!! I'm sure it could be a nice boat but not for me, too picky!

I love this boat, saw it for sale about a year or so ago. Always raises a red flag when I see them go back on the market so quickly.
See if the broker is reputable and make sure you get a survey (with mechanic.)
I liked the stepped hull 35 idea but if it’s in bad shape you are getting into Top Gun territory by the time you drop 20k+ for motors and who knows how much for what else. (There is always what else ha ha )
