Yes, that’s blood on the bolster from a rough water race in Ocean City some years back. Willie, my navigator, cut his arm on the fairing pretty early on. I shouted over to him, dammit Willie, stop bleeding, there are sharks in these waters! Not an original line, I borrowed it from Don Aronow, but still applicable.
