That boat never left a 5 mile radius on the trailer. That strap is just there for decoration so the local police don't pull them over for a BS ticket.
I agree that's not the right way to tie down the transom of a boat.

I just can't get over a 30 year old boat is going for MORE than a ten year old boat was going for 5 years ago! CRAZY times!

And I do agree, the paint is definitely subject to opinion.

their throwin chit at the wall see if it sticks, Ive seen other straight bottoms in that same price range, the detail in that paint is amazing

Oh, I know it's crazy nice. No doubt. And more power to 'em. There was a time, not long ago I felt there was no straight bottom gun worth over a 100k sans a VERY few (#6 boats) that I felt were worth over 100k (but not much!). Of course this was over 5 years ago when you could find a TS Gun for 125 -135 all day.

Again, the market is just crazy.
