The new one is a few in shorter atleast. It’s shorter then the original one. I totally understand about raising the stuff 2 inches but I’d you raised it all 2 inches it still would have the smaller one next to the center stringer. I’m not knocking your work it looks great . Just want to make sure you don’t get a surprise when it’s all done . I swear the 2 outside stringers are reversed lol
I honestly think you might be right. I will check it out and glad you noticed lol. It’s an easy fix now, but would have been a ***** after the 1708 and 1808!

You were right!!!! I could not stand not knowing so went by the shop this morning. We checked and they are backwards ( my mistake). Glad you spoke up and saved me lol. I have someone gel coating the bottom ( I was running short on time) and soon as he is done I will cut them down to the correct height. I also checked on everyone asking about cross bracing and the answer I have gotten is , if it’s a kevlar boat with a thicker (race) bottom they did not have it???? Seems during this era there is no “standard “ as to how anything was done???? I got some info from someone back in that era that is very knowledgeable of the builds and trying to find out exactly on this? I seen about 20 that have bracing and found 4 that do not just looking at old pictures. This is a lot of learning as I go lol. But I will do whatever and redo anything to make sure I get it right.
Thanks and I owe you a beer if I ever meet you

Haha he just stayed on me until I actually looked and measured. I appreciate any and all advice. I have some professional guidance, but it’s mainly to make sure I am doing the correct steps and using correct products, then they are off to daily duties lol. They actually said they assumed I could read a tape measure lol. Seems finding “real” info on what is factual on these older boats is a challenge lol. Almost like every one of them were built as a one off??? I keep finding/seeing different things on every Flatdeck I get a chance to see?

haha I know. I bought the boat planning on transom and it has turned into a 75% restore! LOL. I just keep finding stuff that needs doing/updating, but I am about at my limit for this year. Trying to wrap everything up to be able to use it this summer. I actually hired a gel guy to help me where I can get done faster.
