Making some progress on the ol' Flat deck
Went in the water but had steering issues. New powersteering pump coming and rebuilt cylinder just gotta put it all together and get it bled which is a huuuuuuge pain.

Ive been fighting with power steering issues. Can`t get the system bled, I had a bad leak out of a steering cylinder and the new pump I bought wasn`t working . Ive now spent about 6hrs trying to bleed the system. Rebuilt the cylinder and new power steering pump arrived today so I guess we will see . I did take it out but 40 turns from left to right .. I almost hit a dock and then i was going around in a circle , I spent the day trying to fix the steering. I also have a lean spot in the lower rpms that I need to tune out . Data log says 2 lbs of boost at 3400rpm getting on plane, Ive always been in vacuum getting on plane cutting a hole thru the water , I felt like these really weren`t breaking loose but not sure . 2lbs at a low rpm I don`t have any of those fuel cells tuned so gotta get that right first |

Fixed the steering Ram got the system bled and working (Thanx for the tip Dan) and of course the other ram started leaking shortly after.. figures.
Did some tuning got her on plane but I have some tuning issues to figure out with the port engine. Tried experimenting with the vent tubes, (more or less air) but They seem to short, under way water is getting in. With the drives completely tucked she runs about the same boost as the 5s level. I raise the 6s to level and she unloads. speed and rpm come up fast and she takes off , I`ll have to check my logs but it looked like much less boost than Im used to .. pulleys are the same from last year . The tab pumps aren`t cooperating , I get to a certain level and it wont go down anymore . May not be strong enough |
Hatch goes on after I know that theres nothing in the back of the engines that needs adressing

Data logs show around 2 psi at 4900rpm .. that`s crazy! with the same pulleys last set up was 4-5psi
Either the 6`s make the boat more efficient or the new heads and intake flow very well, probably a combination of both . Tune had a zeroed out cell in the fuel table so that`s my back fire and the tab lines were reversed . Can`t wait to get it out again ! |

4-5 psi to 2 psi @ 4900 is a nice milestone.
Real data feedback in the right direction, always good to see. Heads likely flowing better...and less throttle required @4900 with the drive/prop changes. What paint did you use on the blowers? |

It has to feel good to have it back on the water. Seeing other people go through these long drawn out builds makes me feel a little better about mine.

Lol. I spent wayyyy to much money into this thing but the memories and mamories are priceless :D
I do have to say thou, 2+MPG, 4 hrs of running, 19" draft , 90 miles covered, 5 days never opening the hatch and one $120 fill up is pretty damn nice.
