Hey Klaw.....Same year boat as you......650 hp.....28 Bravos...
Bumping the rev limiters ar 5500rpm {cool weather}....
Depending on the torque you are making you might try 28s...
My blower motors make gobs of torque...I am trying 30s this year.
Hope this helps for comparison.....Paul

I saw 81 {GPS} with the 28,s......I think i will need to keep these
for those hot, humid august days ! It feels like i lose 100 hp on those days !! These things need all the bow lift they can get..
I never even thought to try 3 blades...I have alot more testing to
do when the weather clears up !!!
When do you get the new motors ?

We have a 1992 w/ 2/750SC. 97 w/ 2" shorties and 30" Bravo's. Shorties gave 5 MPH on this boat. We are adding intercoolers, Dry CMI's and new cams, should make 100+ HP, and boat should run at least 103 MPH. Will post speeds soon.

I think the shorties will solve that problem as the X was conservative on these boats!

I don't know why you guys have so many problems w/ bullets. The 1992 we have was the easiest boat we've ever rerigged to make go fast. We run 2" shorties, 30" Bravo 1 props, 1.5 to1. The boat is easy to drive. My girlfriend can run it 90+. No chine walking, slight porpoise at slow speeds (trim tabs!) Great in rough water, and accelerates better than anything on the water. All this w/ A/C. Feel free to call me with any questions
