GLH;
Crucify you? You have only raised accurate and salient issues. You are a prolific poster and I enjoy both your sense of humor and wisdom gained directly through experience.
When I started this thread, your opinion was one of those I was anxious to hear.
I am not a "Ford Snob" BTW. In fact, I am jealous that mercury has chosen to base their line up on Chev products. I secretely hope that GM pisses them off with this vortec stuff so they will go elsewhere.
(I know the aftermarket (dart/merlin etc)will always be there for them and I also know that Ford is not interested in pushrod technology any more so the likelihood of them getting in bed together is between slim and none.

I agree too. #2 deck on #1 hull. But....
Tell me I'm not crazy here, but if you put the deck of #2 on #1 it bascially makes the oval for the Cigarette logo.
Granted it would require a little ingenuity, but you could have the biggest Cigarette logo ever made across the top of the entire boat!
A very, very rough idea of what I mean below.

Hmmm, tough choice! I do like the "old school" style of #1, but the deck graphics on #2 look great, so I'd combine the two. #2 is nice but it looks a bit too "also ran" with all the other busy graphics out there these days, do something different and go your original route, with a bit of a twist.
And the idea of the "giant" Cig. logo on the deck!? Things that make you go hmmmmm! Could look pretty ballsy!
