H2 is based on a 3/4 ton chasis, your f-150 isn't. I wouldn't do it if it was my boat/truck.

Why push your luck?
Always get a truck that is MORE than adequate for the job.
You don't want to be right at the upper limit of your capacity, it will only strain the vehicle.

If you end up having an accident because you pushed the limit....it will end up costing you a lot more than you saved with the smaller truck more than likely.....my 02 cents...

A must have on any setup! I converted my trailer over and it makes a HUGE difference. The trailer stops the truck!
