I`m just getting used to the fact that Cadillacs don`t have tailfins.

That means the Carbon70 is really not much lighter than Kevlar. Mine was 10,000lbs, however that was with blown 572ci Zuls and # 3A drives. The addition of those large engines and drives would put the actual hull weights pretty close.
Two years ago I flew to Boston to look at a '91 Carbon 70 named "Cool Stuff". I did not buy the boat due to bad hull repairs. Anyone see this boat lately? Pink and green graphics with 500's or 540's with Stellings and old # 3 drives. 68 mph on Gps
sent me back home quick.

THE BEST WE HAVE SEEN IN OUR BOAT WAS A BUCK 3 AND CHANGE (NOT DIALED IN )BUT THAT WAS IN THE LAKE WHERE WE BOUGHT THE BOAT, WE PREDICT TO SEE ABOUT A BUCK 6 IN SALT WATER (STILL HAVEN'T WOT IN SALT) AND IT HANDLES LIKE A CHAMP, JUST UNBELIEVABLE. THAT BOAT DOES FLY , IT'S LIGHT VERY LIGHT WE HAD TO PUT LED IN THE FRONT OF THE BOW

Read my posts AGAIN Lucky, carefully this time. I stated 11,040 rigged with engines AND two people, 100 gallons fuel, tools, etc. at the factory. The motors at that time were also fairly big, as in blown 572 Zuls (850hp)with # 3A drives. I think you'll also see I did estimate the boat to now weigh 11,500 with the same two people, fuel, etc. Get out your eraser.
Don't know where the 100 MPH BS came from ?
Let me assure you that with only 4.5 pounds of boost, the boat will not reach 100. Of course, that's nothing a quick pulley swap wouldn't fix
74 mph with your power is very impressive and will keep you in front of many Guns out there. Be happy.
To The Donz, hats off, that is rollin'. Beautiful boat! How much boost are you running? How hard do you turn those inches, RPM?
