CAll Craig at Martin Marine, they have a coupl ein stock in your price range. Plug Craig designed the boat when he was at Cigarette.

How are your XR's holding up? What pitch Hering's?

GLH,
That is a pretty boat you have. How does the Excursion tow it. I just got a 2005 Excursion Ltd, diesel.

Thanks,
Mat

Hope this helps do not hesitate with any questions.

First I have to say you have one sweet boat very nice!

I have a 97 Kevlar gun also with 600SCs and would be interested as to what pulley size you use and and also the new rpm she is turning? At my max, 5200 rpms 26 4 blade Bravos I can just hit 80+ on my gps. With out tabs and drives that far out she is a bit to squirrly at that speed on the bay for my liking.I'm thinking with a few more ponies I may achieve the same speeds, but with some tab and less of my drives out.
Any info is appreciated. Thanks! Glen

That boat you are reffering to Matt is Victor's boat (LivinVIP). I have been on it. It is EXTREMELY clean. 500EFI and has XR drives that have recently been rebuilt by TNT. 73 MPH. Extended Covergirl cabin. It is maintained with an open checkbook and is absolutley flawless. I don't know of any boat that is nicer in that year.

Not my rig, a friend of mines. The XR's are holding up pretty well but he is easy on them coming up and is very good on the throttles. Not sure on the pitch, he is wanting to try the 6 blades at this point. I'll find out the pitch of the 5 blades and post / let you know.

I had(I was National Marined) a simular set up in my Tiger

540/500 Bulldogs with XR'S

Ive seen as low as 67 mph and as high as 73 mph

I had 11 people on the boat with a good 2' Lake chop and a full tank of fuel and saw 71mph on GPS.

The boat doesnt even come alive unless its got 2-3' waves and is going faster than 60 mph.

I have not ridden on Top Guns enough to give you a valid comparaison.

Biggus last winter said that it felt like it was 10' longer than his Top Gun. Both boats are non-stepped.

The only thing I added was Firestone airbags ($220) to it apart from that it pulls and stops great, no issues on hills either. The Myco trailer with bridging also helps.
Your diesel should eat it up no problems if your pulling a Tiger. I have a V-10.
