With out tabs and drives that far out she is a bit to squirrly at that speed on the bay for my liking.I'm thinking with a few more ponies I may achieve the same speeds, but with some tab and less of my drives out.
Any info is appreciated. Thanks! Glen I turn 5200 also with Bravo Ones 4 blades 30"Labbed, I am considering getting 5 blades hydro's from Throttle-Up, labbed props are great for top end but I cruise most of the time and I have seen 5 blades on all boats be a lot more efficient for cruising, in the order of 7-9 mph faster at 3500-4000rpm. Fuel would improve greatly then. Changin the pulleys I guesstimated the 30-35 HP increase due to the fact that I gained 2-3 mph and I have been told at those speeds it's around 15hp per motor to gain each mph's. |
Re: Top speed on a Tiger w/ 500's?
Thanks for the info GLH!!
I have been very interested in how you were liking your setup with the 600's, and it sounds like it is running very well. If you get the bug to sell, call me first :D I called Craig@Martin Marine yesterday and was very impressed by him. Very helpful and was a true pleasure to talk to. I don't see many boats with the 600's, but I think that is the setup I would prefer. I have also considered getting into a big power Top Gun, but the insurance is a big problem with my age. I think a milder Tiger or Gun may be the ticket...until I get older anyways. One more question, what do you think your Tiger weighs on the trailer? Thanks again Corey |
