Actually it is a 408" anyhow,I have not yet resolved the windshield issue of a different color.What a sad deal!I think that an all 20' Get together would be cool!My other boat is hopefully going to come home after 2 1/2 years .They were painting the cockpit today and hopefully the deck Wed. or the next day.I will let you know when I get it back and you can stop by.

I just bought a 1996 Cig 20', it has a Merc 502 MPI and a Blackhawk outdrive. It gps's at 76 mph. It will be kept at Lake of The Ozarks around the 6 mile marker. I also own a 1997 Donzi Classic 18' that spends some time on the LOTO. I have been told that they made around 10 of these 20' Cigs in the 1995/1996 time frame.

I grew up in North Miami Beach, Lived off the Intracosatal in HS, Had a boat at High Lift Marina on NE 188th st or in my back yard for many years, Had serious Cig/Donzi/Magnum dreams for many years, but no cash to scratch it.

After years of sailing and now autoracing, I'm looking at buying a house on the water again and getting a sport boat.

This thread on the 20' cig interested me since I was hot for this boat since I was maybe 9 years old.

I was the high bidder on this ebay thread, (not like we are talking serious cash or anything)

I kinda got stuck because the NADA value on the boat was so low.
I'm trying to bring the owner back to the table on this and put the sale back together,
(yeah I'm kickin myself since he emailed me after the auction but it was right before Xmass and I had just bought a new racemotor for my vette...)
(I dig the coco gold color)

Anyway, are there issues I should consider before buying this boat with a stock style, and unknown rebuilt 454 and TRS outdrive?

Or should I just plan to run whats there and repowering and doing a outdrive conversion as needed?

Jim, how about some pictures of your boat.

getting close bob, i recently pulled half of the interior while we redid the bilge. I should have my motor next week so we can start te install. I will post some pics when she's all back together. take care
