My arch was probably an aftermarket add-on and serves the purpose of holding up the radome. If this boat would not have come with radar I would have installed it as I feel it's a very useful tool, especially here in west Michigan. Without radar there's no reason to keep the arch. Just my opinion.

That picture was taken at Diversey Harbor in Chicago by Mr Cig or his wife during a COPS run to Michigan City, Indiana. We ended up having five 38 flat-deck boats on that run and they were all rafted together on the seawall there. You can find pics here or on the OPB website. I'll post one on this thread if I can find one.
