One thing anyone who restores that one might want to consider is filling in that vent on the side of the hull, and using vents on the hatch area like the later models (starting in '79 maybe). My buddies is a 77 or '78 and has that low one, and it gets water in it too easily - fresh water no big deal, but around here that sucks with salt...................

The 2 side vents on the older 20's should be open toward the stern. Maybe he put his in facing forward?

No, it's just the fact that they are down so low when the boat is off plane and maneuvering among larger waves, or just sitting (we get big stuff in the Cheesapeake - boats or wind). The wave action alone will bring it right in. No big deal, just something that could be improved upon............

Here's a '77 gettin' fired up 2 weeks ago for the first time in many years. Still has the old school cleaver on it in this picture. Always great to see 'em resurrected!!
