Yep LS, I here that guy got taken badly by National. Was a nice boat though. The interior was done in leather.

The lower case on a IIIA is diffrent than a III. The flat spot above the bullet is different. The upper case is also differnt but I think it still looks the same on the outside.

The bullet is bigger and the shaft size is alot bigger, only a little smaller than the #6 shaft. That would be a sweet drive train in a TS TG. That boat should be pretty quick, looks like a nice ride.

Yep.
That guy had problems with that one. In the 01 Key West Run we ran with him. He barely could get it to plane. He complained about it alot. It wouldn't run any faster than the 575 boats.

Rumor is that he found out later (after a problem) that they were actually 3's and not 3a's so Merc wouldn't warranty them.

I.E. They were used drives without his knowledge. :eek: That was a big reason that boat didnt sell quickly.

That one there at National was the predessessor to the 46 "It's Good to BE King" boat from National ..... back before "the ****storm" .

Which one had problems in the run? I am looking at that first boat when I am at the show... any info? The Cobras look old too....

It was the one with the American Flag Graphics and IN reg. numbers.

The Cobras have 20 hrs on them.
