HORBA News
SIGN ON PROBLEM
Some members with the new upgrade of Internet Explorer 7 have been having trouble getting on to the site or the Member's Only[B] section.
The web people have researched it and have found that to fix the problem:
Go to HORBA site
Click on "tools" and select "Internet Options"
Click on "Security" tab
Select "trusted Sites"
Click on "Sites"
Add http://historicraceboats.com to Trusted Sites
Un-check "Require Server Verification (https) for all sites in the Zone.
Click "Close"
Click "OK"
The web people are www.mouseworks.net, if you have any more problems.
MODEL NEWS...Re The Cigarette scale model. So far we have numbers 1, 4, 6, 7, 13, 17, 22, and 30 spoken for.
SITE REVAMP Over the next couple of weeks we are revamping the site to add a lot more material.
Now that we have access to the Aronow Archives with the actual films of Don racing the Cigarette, we want to expand it to include other legends too....Dick Bertram, Jim Wynne, Bill Wishnick, Betty Cook, Joel Halpern, Jerry Jacoby, Michel Menard....it will be extensive and we intend to include a lot of info on each person. Not only the drivers, but the legends in mechanics and throttlemen....Pop Meekins, Bobby Moore, Richie Powers, Keith Hazell, Bobby Saccenti, Jack Stuteville and many more.
DVD Sales....Also we will have available for sale copies of the great films of SEARACE....Miami to Nassau to Miami race of John crouse
STORIES......There will also be a section for stories. Great yarns of the old days....many of them not exagerrated much at all.
T-SHIRTS AND MORE........Clothing line will be available by the end of this week.
It has grown to becaome a Museum of Offshore History and we are adding to it each week.
