Yikes!! Sorry 24degrees....didn't realize there was an existing name so close. I'll be making a change. Worry not!
No problem.....you and I probably think alike.....:) |
Re: B19 RUNAWAY video
4.125 bore x 3.50 stroke = 374cid
7700rpm, 1.50 drive ratio, 24 4-blade = 102mph |
Re: B19 RUNAWAY video
Whoa..7700 constant...That has been a Screamer!
How much hp ? 500-550 per engine? Iīd have a spare Kinsler Stack f.i unit and a Donovan 400 Al-block for spares... But instead was thinking on the lines of a pair of 383īs and Kinslers...hmmm I might have to go and take at look at that hull.... |
Re: B19 RUNAWAY video
650hp or so in 1998

670hp or so in 1999 Hmmm Dart II Sportsmans and almost 700....Prolly done a tad more than pocketportin...:drink: Iīd love to test those heads on my flowbench... 6 inch rods or 5.7 and lightweight crank ? Donīt have to tell me If you donīt want to but also how high a compression in static and how high cranking pressure (@220) ? And a "quite" stout roller too in the neighbourhood of 250degr at 050 with a 0.600 lift? |
Re: B19 RUNAWAY video
The race boat started as a 1971 Magnum sport cruiser. It had T/Volvos, cabin, head, and
kitchen. The deck was cut off and throw away. The hull was ground down to a few stringers and totally re-build using dupont kevlar, new stringers, new bulk heads and new herring bone(cross bracing) was added. All of the hull, deck and dash work was done by Dave Fox of Fiberglass Services, in Banregat LIght, NJ. An Activator deck was taken ,cut down the middle from bow to stern using a radial saw. Then extra material was added to widen the deck and this was used to fabricate a new deck. The dash was patterned of an Apache. We went to PA and used the race boat Predator as a pattern for the dash. The bolster was done by a friend in the upholstery business, he ran the boat Indigo, a 30 scarab, also build by Dave Fox. We did the motors mostly ourselves. We did have some help from time to time from two freinds, Dale from Predator Carbs and George from Auto Enterprises. We also had some help from Doug and Tommy at Professional Marine Racing , when we first built the high compression motors. |
Re: B19 RUNAWAY video
So when did the Runaways race history start?
Hmmm Dale From Predator was involved...figures  Remember when Predator Carbs hit the Street Racing Scene in Scandinavia in the mid 80īs... |
