Brownie, You never cease to amaze me. I talked to the owner about 15yrs ago, and indeed he did say it was from Italy and I think is was made in 1973. A lot of the running gear was still in her, the gearbox was chain driven off of the engine's flywheels.
It did have an unusal trim tab set up, Only one tab about the size of a swim fin mounted right in the center of the transom just above the keel. Defineatly a radical bottom design for the year.
Who owned or raced her? does it have any history?

Brownie,
He had that boat in his shop in Hialeahs West 84 st about 1976, Cal told me that it was the way for the future!
How right he was!
Later,
Pepe @ Pantera.

h2oboater,Brownie has correctly replied to you.
Exactly it deals with a Riva Monte-Carlo Offshorer built in the seventies in the yards Mare e Sole near Ventimiglia to few kilometers from Sanremo toward the Italian-French border.
The yards I believe they were of ownership of Gianfranco Rossi famous T-Man of Renato Della Valle.

The ad says the boat's in Los Alamitos. That's about 5 miles from me. I emailed the seller to have a look at her. The photos don't look like Los Al though. The mountains are too close!
