It only took five-thousand horsepower to make it go 150.

I don't think 1200 Sterlings would get it up on plane.

It was a cool time back then- quad-engined Superboat dinosaurs.

My prediction- the only time that boat will ever see water again is if they pass a pond on the way to the salvage yard.

It's only about 5 miles from the Pacific Ocean right now. I guess someone could use it as a party barge or maybe an artificial reef... The guy who owns it said he thought about doing it up with diesels or tubrines... Also said he was going to use it as a road-side attraction, or a floating billboard, but it wasn't cost effective to transport it where he wanted it.

It really is a shame... Remember, there was a time not too long ago when a Cobra Daytona Coupe was just an old, slow, race car...

It was offered to me in the late 90's for about half of the current ask. It still had the drives on it then. last I heard, it was going to San Francisco to be a floating billboard- supposedly powered by outboards. I guess that didn't happen.
