http://www.buythisboat.com/bm/listings/l0125.html That one has been forsale for about 4 years, everybody and there brother brokering it. And the price has worked it's way down over the years too. Has very little time on it. Older gentlemen own's it and he has some heart issue's hence his doctor encouraging the sale. So he was looking into cabin cruisers and slowing life down. Jon |
Thanks. No, I'm from S Florida. The guy who had it at B.T. was from up North(Minn I think). Cougars are niche boats, and thus hard to sell, but they are built like nails. I have owned a few offshore boats, and been out on many more, but none can handle the ruff stuff like a Cougar. You just have to have big power in them to go fast. Would I buy another? Hell yes!!............ But with the right power and right price.

41' Cougar Breathless, can't remember the skinny on this one
Later bought by Richard Carr (ex Class 1, now ex Powerboat P1) who had it redone with triple Cobra 900s. I'm not sure if Pascoe at Vulture Ventures or Pete and Steve at Cougar did all the work but the boat was gorgeous. It was called 'Lethal Magic' when Carr owned it. It was later bought by another ex British racer in the mid 90s. I don't know what happened to it after that but it was for sale again. |

Breathless was built for the 1990 London Boat show, power was from twin 600hp lambo's, it was then sold to Richard Carr, after many engine problems it was re-rigged with triple 900hp+ C&G motors and renamed Lethal Magic, the refit was carried out by Mark Pasco & Gary Stray who both worked on Richard's Class 1 race team, then in about 1995/6 it was sold to Colin Stonman who still owns it, last time I saw it in 1999 it was sat in a field in a very bad state.
Thanks for update CougarM & Starflite X,...............and here it is as Lethal Magic. |
