Cougar Raceboats
I was curious if any of you know why Cougar decided not to keep building raceboats. They were so successful in the 80's, but I never heard why they stopped. I was also wondering the
same thing about their pleasure V-bottoms such as the 38, 41,
and 46. I would appreciate any information that the rest of you might know.

Dirty Laundry/ Stray Cat/ Rivited (37' Aluminum)
David Mariott's (30' FRP)
38' Molds and a doz of those little cougar cubs...
Clive, Steve and Lah Curtis.... lots of good times back in the day.

I bought it from Condor/ Felix. It sat behind my warehouse in Tallahassee for 5 years before we took it apart and disposed of her. It was a mess when I got it.. 70% rotted... but the trailer was great. We left yellow pieces all the way from Hialeah to Tallahassee. You could look back and see parts of the boat blowing off... I can't remember how many times we stopped to pick stuff up... it seemed like it would never end.
