The pics you show are of the 1980 US raceboat.
Actually in 1980 I raced 2 boats one overseas and the one you show here in the US.
That pic is from the Detroit national race right?

Did you get an Email I sent you a couple of weeks ago about compiling as much race footage as you may have on Pantera boats to pass on to my grandson to show him that his grandpop was a "playa" back then!!!

Will you have your reunion again this year @ the Mathes place?

I would really like to go and check the "classics" for old times sake. You guys used to be IT back in the 70's.

I met some real celebrities there, and that is not counting Mr. Baum aka Maverick S-7 that was some boat!
I remember Jack jr taking me out on the lake @ 80+ mph's
Some ride!

Probably the most impressive man I ever met in my life was Mr. Mathes Sr. I was nervous discussing a boat dealership w/ him in 1976. He was my first dealer, and Bill Dedes was the first Pantera customer on the Lake.

Ok!! It was the different deck that made the fore deck look shorter. Thanks for the 100% info as always Maestro

I remember Jack Sr always was always dressed to kill, and great guy. In 1971 he let me sit in a 27' Magnum that he had in the showroom, I was hooked. Today I'm still friends with Mark, Jack Jr & his son Kevin. On weekends we keep the Emerald City history going here on Lake St Clair. Jacks at Emerald City is soon to re open [new owners] and I will set a date for Old School III hopefully for June 12 2010. Hope you will be there, as you have a great following of Pantera owners here.
