Gauges come on with the nav lights. Wired the relay for the horn, and rewired the dash a fair amount, now every accessory is fused with a nifty little fuse box. Should make troubleshooting easier.

Update: Timed engine. Oil in engine. Header on. Hoses routed. Both batteries in. Alternator moved back 1/4" via angle grinder. Fresh Rotella T5. Fresh filter.

Startup is tomorrow night. Can't wait.

Excellent news. The gauges look great with the back lit numbers. Best of luck with the fire off. Hope all goes well.

Darrell.

Do us all a favor and remember the drain plug the day you launch it. We'd hate to see all that hard work go straight to the bottom!

Should I put the drain plug in from the INSIDE or the outside?

Generally speaking, outside. Boston Whalers use a plug that goes in from the inside, but that's about the only one I've ever seen.

"The main harness is now wrapped in a mesh loom, which looks classy. Need to do something to treat the end correctly though:"

Get a couple of inches of some large heat shrink tubing, slide it over the exposed end of the mesh loom and shrink it down. It will look nice and tidy and well finished.

Great thread.

Dan
