Well... it's about that time. Just got the tow vehicle together last night (finally!) so now I turn attention to the sleek. I need to do the following, in terms of priority:

1. Secure the shift cable to the shifter (when I goosed it into reverse last summer and it stayed in forward :eekdrop: HOLY CRAP almost killed my roommate no big deal)

2. Figure out how to wire in the shift interrupt switch. I have an HEI distributor, so it's not as simple as just hooking it up. If anybody has any ideas I'm all ears. The problem is the HEI dizzy has the coil in the cap... so the shift interrupt has nowhere to go. I seem to recall if you hook it up to the tach wire, MAYBE, MAYBE it'll cut the ignition for a second, but I need to look into it. Again, I'm looking for help here.

3. Fix the trim. It works. Sorta. But then the oil quickly turns to a muddy oil/water mixture. I ordered 4 new trim hoses, and trim ram rebuild kits. I'll clean out the pump, again, and see if it works.

4. Come up with a better solution for the carb/throttle linkage.

5. Machine some custom mufflers for the headers. Not sure how I'm going to get them to stay in yet.

1. Not done yet.
2. DONE and DONE.
3. In process. Wound up rewiring the whole back half of the boat to tuck more wiring.
4. In process.
5. DONE

So I'm asking for input on the name of the boat.

RISKY BUSINESS vs DANGERZONE

Both are hilarious and fitting. Whatcha think?

With that exhaust? "Acoustical Nightmare" is the only proper name!
