Hey cash, any chance you can post up a couple pics of the shift interrupt switch or walk me through it? I have the same issue. Thunderbolt IV swapped to and HEI only difference is mine is a 454/alpha combo

cash68 07-31-2012 10:38 PM

Sure, no problem. The 12v + wire that goes to the HEI cap, the one that turns on with the ignition? Splice another THIRD END onto it, and wire that to the insulated shift interrupt switch. Wire the OTHER side of your shift interrupt to ground. Basically, in normal operation the shift interrupt switch does nothing, as it is open. On shifting, it momentarily closes, and GROUNDS OUT the 12V signal going to the HEI cap. This allows it to shift. If you need more help I can send you a schematic. :)

Realized I never had a decent shot of the interior here:

Going to install red LED interior lights tomorrow, the whole interior will light up bright red. :)

Dude boat looks phenomenal! Good looking co-pilot, smooth water, sunny days. Looks like summer life is nice for ya! :evilb:

Seriously nice resto on that boat. Any plans for a blower? Oh and get an ss bottom for that alpha. Maybe you can get a roost :lolhit:

cash68 08-08-2012 12:46 AM

SS lower unit? What are the advantages? More speed? I just got beat by a guy with a Hydrostream Viper.. kind of sucked. He had a 150 outboard, thing went like 80+. Oh well.

Went to the 2012 Madison Classic Boat show, won best fiberglass boat! Woohoo!
