"Euromarine Special" P-16 was my 1986 Chris-Cat, and was actually a converted pleasure boat! We probably ran about 30 races or so with her from 1988 until 1994 when we retired her. I LOVED that boat!!! She was a beast in rough water, and always very forgiving. She ran high 90's when we first rigged her with 2.4's, and ran in the 102/103 range when we upgraded to 2.5's. Couldn't quite hang with the 32' Skaters when it was flat, but they couldn't hang with us when it got rough. Had to retire her when the Pro-Stock field started to feature 35' canopied Motions and 36' canopied Skaters! It would have been just a matter of time until we gort really hurt trying to run with those boats in an open-cockpit 30 footer.
Man I miss that boat. Last I heard it was on Long Island as a pleasure boat. The new owner reached out to me via e-mail one day for some further info on her, and I lost his e-mail address.
Shadows and Chris Cats RULE!!!!

Side pickups are even with the bottom in this pic...the lowest setting. I have nearly 8 inches of up travel to play with. So no worries there. I'm starting low. Gonna work up.
