VERY well done!...love the originality.

Here are a few more pictures from the second round of priming. The first time priming were tried to spot prime just the repaired areas on the sides only to find the old gelcoat was to porus and full of small pin holes. So here we are again at the paint booth to reprime the entire sides after sanding all the pits out. I must say it looks much better then when it came from the factory. Nice and smooth without all of the texture from the glass cloth showing through. Both the engines are installed and the power shifters, steering and controls are ready to go. I only have a little wiring left to do and the engines should be ready to go.

The wet sanding continues on the primer but it's looking great. I had previously attach some pictures of my windshield ideas but I have changed them slightly. I ended up using some ChrisCraft Riviera brackets instead of the other ones previously shown. The angles and curves fit much better with the curve of the deck. They look like they were made for the boat. You can also see the deck vent I'm using that came from an early HackerCraft I believe. The combination creates an aggressive look that I'm looking for. Last night I shaped the windshield on my hightech custom bending jig with the help of my BBQ gas grill. After a couple hours of sanding and fitting the windshield is complete. The blue in the pictures is the protective film. We are scheduled to go back in the paint booth in two weeks to add the color. I'll keep posting any progress.

This boat is stupidly cool. You've taken on a HUGE project that will bring an equally big smile to your face every single time you use it. Congrats and keep the pictures coming!!!

Well we finally have the entire boat blocked and sanded and its back in the spray booth tonight. The deck will get sprayed tomorrow and the sides will be done on Sunday. We'll keep the original colors but change the center stripe slightly to match the old racing moppies.
