Default Gorgeous '67 Donzi 28

This is the finest specimen I've ever beheld.

I can't understand why Donzi doesn't produce this hull as the 28 Classic. It would be fantastic with a pair of Crusader 8.1 HOs mated to XRs or Konrads.

Cary, Donzi & Performer built these true 28' wave crushers. When Performer built them they were outfitted with Merc Trs drives & big block 454 engines.

Wow! I've seen several of these but they've always been bare hull/projects. Never seen one complete.
Reminds me of my saying with a design like that that you know you can't break and is only fun in the rough.
"I want to drive it while wearing a bathing suit and flip flops w/a cooler strapped in beside me"
Amazing piece of history. Sad part is he probably won't get 1/2 what he wants for it.

That model was my Grandpa's offshore fishing boat, I don't know what year it was but it looks the exact same.
The first things Grandmother sold after his passing was the fish shack in Palacios on Matagorda Bay and both his bay boat and his offshore boat.
OMG, this brings back my childhood memories front and center
What a classic and very well redone.

High Life, give your buddy a high five and tell him way to go

See ya,
Kelly

lilabner,

That 28 Donzi must of drove like a cadillac through the rough. Was it full race or did it have a fitted cabin?...........Today, there's nothing out there like that.
