Got some interesting news today. Rich seems to think I may have the first pleasure cat built. HIN = KRG30001M81A.

Spent the day grinding away, prepping for the balsa that should be here Wednesday. Updates to follow.

Congrats on the supplies! Keep rocking. She's gonna be purty some day. Have you decided pleasure or poker/race set up yet?

Before any updates... I have to give much thanks to Dave (glassdave) and Rich (T2X) for their time they have spent helping guide me in the direction I needed to go.

There wasn't many updates lately. Yesterday I glassed a few different variations of glass wood combos to figure out how I am going to build my knees. Today I was hoping to get my balsa so I could start coring my transom but it never came. I got in touch with the delivery company and was told it would be here Monday or Tuesday. I couldn't let another perfect weekend go by without getting the transom in so I made an arrangement to pick it up. An hour and a half later I had my first 25 sheets of balsa coring in the truck. I can't wait to start glassing but am not looking forward to the grinding necessary to get to that point. I'll update as the days go by.

Will you use vacuum laminating for connecting the balsa ?

I was planning on presoaking it and hand laminating. It may be heavier but doing everything yourself is a pain in the azz. I plan on vacuuming the above head and possibly the sides.

What a day, been out here since 10 am and still going. I am working outside with daytime temps of about 65. The resin shouldn't be applied (what I'm told) under 70. I have the boat inside it's own tent and should be able to hold temps 80+. Wish me luck, first attempt at coring should commence this evening or early AM.
