I needed to make some room in the garage. Spent the day fabricating a twin engine O/B stand/cart. I recently laminated a transom that I won't be using, so I figured I would base it on that. Yesterday I picked up some heavy duty rubber lined cast wheels and some material. What you see is the end result. I think I'm going to add some extra support even though it seems to be holding fine. I even stood on one of the motors prop shaft. It flexed but didn't do anything I wasn't expecting. To give you an idea how massive these motors are, that's a 28" door to the left. Weight 565lbs/each before all the hydraulic steering brackets/pistons.

If you can, I would set it up as 3 motors. 3x 2.5efi
or 2 300xs motors.
They are heavy & you need the power to get it up & running.
I would run another drain line from the front to the back since you removed the gas tanks. It will help
With 3 2.5efi mine will run 85 mph in rough chop.
Not bad on gas.
Just a thought,

Just a thought,
What year is your shadow? What hp are the motors?
Good call on the drain line.

Mine is a 1996 Awesomecat.
3 x 2.5 225 promax efi.
With the big V8 you have alot of tork which is what you need to get the boat to run.
I also had the Pennsoil (shadowcat), which had 3 2.5 on the back.
Shadowcat was stuffed & needed alot of work so I sold it.
American Offshore, Awesomecat, ShadowCat & Chriscat were all the same mold.
Great rough water boat, eats up 5ft waves like nothing.
Work looks great, cant wait to see it finished, good luck,
Drain: Plastic pvc pipes under the gas tank all the way to the back.
My Awesomecat does not have any drain system & a pain in the Azz.
Are you painting the boat & gelcoat can be a nightmare, Thats what I did & must have spent a month sanding!

Don't know about the Awesome Cat, but the Shadow and the Chris Cat are NOT from the same mold. The Shadow came first, and the Chris Cat was derived from it, but each sponson pad is 3" wider on the Chris (giving it a total beam of 8'6", compared to 8' even for the Shadow). The American Offshore was produced from the Chris Cat molds after Chris Craft sold them. Just want to keep the record straight!
