Here's my almost finished motor. What do you think? I have to get the old block out of the boat in order to see if my pan will work or not. The weather here has sucked for the last week. Rain and storms every evening when I can get my buddies crane after work.

Gator...that one is a vacuum secondary...see that big diaphragm rig on the starboard side at the rear with a linkage that connects to the rear throttles? That indicates that it's a vacuum secondary model.

Here's a "Double Pumper"...

Gator...I have used these bastards on street cars and trucks, drag cars and boats. I have used most of the others. Other than EFI...this is the best fuel delivery piece of equipment I have ever used. It's like having 2: 2 barrel carburetors and you have 100% direct control as to when and how far the secondaries open.

Not to get on a rant...but I love these damn things because they give you so much control over the boat.

Gator i got my 454 apart today. Will post pics later tonight or tomorrow. Looks as though it might have cracked a water jacket on cylinder 1 and stuck the piston. Lots of water in the oil and on top of the piston as well as tons of rust. New engine on the stand and should be in the boat tomorrow.

Gator,
Looks great, nice to see you saved her. Sorry to hear the engine went before Silver Glenn!
I just pulled the engine in my 230 going to do interior and engine compartment while waiting on machine work.
Keep up the good work!
