thanks for that! Nice to have someone around with so much knowledge on the Coyotes!

I have been in a few similar boats of size...cigs, skaters, etc.

and maybe its just me but nothing can quite handles the waves like ours....

All the new boats are top notch, but all I see is the same boat w/a different $100,000+ paint job and insane power...still cool, BUT old school is something that's hard to find anymore. Love the Cary's.

Nolimits, you are right there are more numbers matching muscle cars than good school boats on the water these days.the hulls don't wear out like old suspensions either. I wouldn't give up my boat for anything. Especially because it was Bob Latham's and the last one made.

The new 37.6 foot cigarette was first shown in December 1978...it became the Top Gun. Keith Hazell was throttleman in 1980 on that boat...Ajac Hawk....we raced in the Bahamas 200 in June of 1980 and they beat me by 30 seconds. I came in second. This was a flat water race, not rough in any way.

Keith came up to me after and said....that boat is just amazing, I'm getting tired of following you around the circuits. He was throttleman on the 38 Bertram ..Flap Jack.. the year before.

That was the first ever win for the Top Gun and it only happened because we lost power in one engine 5 miles from the finish.

You have a great boat....just because it didn't have the "bling" that people associated with Cigarette, just remember that design kicked the Cig's butt for two years in a row.

Yes, I bought in 2009. I have been in touch with him since 1991 when i bought a 32' that was hull #3. It was a 1973 32' 9'3" beam staggered 482" kiekaeffer motors. It had ss III drives. This one is 29'9" 8' beam. It had regular low deck big blocks and trs drives.

I remember seeing that 32 when it was for sale. Can't remember where though. Where did it go? Pics of the 32 and 29?
