----Thanks for posting the pics, Bert!!! Resto took two plus years and I started out with a pretty good looking boat. As happens to just about anyone that starts a small restoration, they quickly become big restorations. I dont think we left a nut unturned.
----I was spending a lot of time at Donzi back in 70/71 and I used to see Finos being rigged next door at the Magnum facility. Probably was Butch I would see laboring out there. Never, ever in my wildest dreams did I think I would be able to afford one back then, but I thought that Finos were the best looking fiberglass boats ever built and still do. Walt really outdid himself.
----The hatch isnt on in the pics as we were chasing a couple of gremlins. The gremlins are finally subdued and we are closing in on the ACBS Algonac, Mi. "Back to the Factory" boat show. Any OSO guys that feel like looking at old stuff can stop on by the Algonac marina on the 23rd of this month and say "Hi".......Bill S

Default Week end first time fun!!

Took this out for the first time this week end after a few weeks of under the hatch fun. Boat sat for about 5 years in the boat house with no use at all. New batteries, belts, impellers, valve jobs etc and it's out we go. Then the rain chased us in and we have been on the trailer ever since. You notice the dark clouds there over the rooster tail.

----Bert,,,That thing is looking good!!!! Was the speedo working? What speed did it feel like?

----I took home 1st at the ACBS meet. Thats the good news. The bad news; There were only two guys in my class. Me and John, with the Arena Craft. Talk about two completely different boats in the same class. He had nothing but good stuff to say about you, by the way. Took a few people out for a cruise and they couldnt believe the wave crushing ability. Still havent had it too much above 3000 RPM as the engines havent hit 10 hours yet, but the boat is running about 5 miles per hour faster with the 4-blade props at the same RPM. The cruise is really great now.

----Talk soon, Huh?.........Bill S

Default Good observation!

I fixed it. Cost me $20.00 and 1 hour of my time. Easy fix.
But to answer your question, it was leaking.
