Actually all KVs have separate bolsters. When the 377 was given the KV designation, the padding was eliminated from the gun whale and the bolsters were split up

The one in that pic is not a 377... it 's a 38... at least looks like it to me, it has the "homo" bolster..when I search they come both ways it seems...
The number was rounded off for the more impressive sounding 38' The 377 could be ordered as a raised deck or flat deck. The 377 flat deck (Kaama Edition) was in production from 81-84 which had the side by side bolsters and padded gunnel. From 85 - 88 the boat became the 38KV, with split bolsters, no padding on the gunnel and other interior differences. The easiest tell tale is the bolsters. |
I am now educated LOL I didnt know a ton about the Scarabs, just what I have picked up over the years...always thought the staggard 377's were cool

If memory serves me right, I believe staggered was only available in a raised deck

He was so upset that he sold the boat that 9 months later he went out and bought another one. Here we are out on Barnegat Bay. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...tevescarab.jpg |

I just flush my engines on the hose for at least 15 minutes each. Then I rinse the boat down real well. Never really had a noticeable problem from salt in the motors. Just lucky I guess. My old scarab had ported rectangular port heads and a couple of them rotted through on the intakes. I just chalked it up to too much porting but who knows. |

Hey 28cigarette. Steve is the person that bought my Scarab. This is the first picture I have seen of it on here since I sold it. Have you talked to him lately? Last I heard he was real happy with his new purchase....

Steve and the boat are doing quite well. I talked to him last week. The boat is tucked away in his garage for the winter. Steve takes great care of it.
