does anyone know who did the restore? I heard steve at legacy marine was working on it a few years ago but not sure if he went through with the project....

If I am not mistaken, The same group raced the 35' (maybe sister boat of original JJ) in Japan in the 90's which was later sold. I too would like to know the rigging (drop box?, twin shafts?) and who did it..

The shafts came out the bottom of the boat coupled with drop boxes. Two engines in tandem per shaft. Pictures of that set up would be very cool to see even if some argue it was not very affective... (reliable engines might have helped)

Awesome! I could not have predicted a better response.

The props don't look as huge as the originals were reported to be... to me anyways.
