C'mon guys this is a thread about a very neat find of some legendary racing parts. Why not try adding something positive to it instead of all your childish comments.

I spoke to Carson this morning.. he knows about this thread.... He thinks its stuff left over from the Torrnace shop after he bought the engine side... Maybe do a consignment with him,... It could be good for all involved.. BTW,, Carson Brummett is one of the most generous and professional people in the boat industry.. as was mentioned before... Good luck either way...

ps.. I love this stuff as I have one of these motors in a 22' Daytona...

Wow!!

So how does the gentry surface drives compare to a kaama? There are many guys out there still running kaamas on vintage 80's formulas and scarabs and even some of us (me) looking to convert to kaamas from TRS's. The parts for kaamas are harder and harder to find but if you can put your hands on a pair of gentrys and maybe another pair for spare parts it might just be an alternative to a kaama setup?

Shawn - can you post some more pictures of the surface drives? Would love to see if they are trimable/steerable?

Awesome find!!

i see used arnesons on ebay fairly often. why not use arneson drives instead of teh kaama stuff?

I think the Gentry drive is a fixed drive that requires a rudder. They can handle brutal horsepower but dont have much (if any) trim

I visit this thread often just to check for new pics :D

Because I already have a pair of kaama's and I paid less then a grand for them. They need a little work but nothing I can't handle. I am one of those "Boating on a budget" kind of guys! :) I am guessing the arnesons on ebay are a bit more $$$$?

I promise to have more pics very soon. The cargo containers are relatively far away and not easily accessible. I should have more pictures tomorrow.
