Use to go there as well back than when my old man had is 28 Cig. The hardware and women that were there was second to none. You use to see all the big hitters there. Those sure where the days but unfortunately after hurricane Andrew in 92 they never rebuilt it. Ever since than until today is still just empty land.
I would take girls out there on the weekend,go to the bar ,come back to the boat,,get lucky and never leave the slip..Those were the days.. |

Dash panel. We made this out of plexiglass. Fitting it up to ensure it fits as we sand and shape the dash. Next week the Tambour door comes in from Tap-ease. Will be interesting to fabricate tracks and jigs to fit it in the roof. See how it goes..... |

I remember that 24 Carrera and the 24 Scorpion.
Carrera if I recall made very few 24's so how many 24's did Scorpion make ? Those 24 boats ran very well in rough water, it was hard to tell which was what manufacturer between the two at times running on the water. The boats were identical except for the color of the bilge.. (If I remember right Julio used red) :) [email protected] |
Why are you making the hatches out of wood (To be glassed over I guess) They look pretty good. I would think with your abilities you would just make a set of one-off molds and lay up with a minimal core. Would net you a 1/3 the weight. As far as the vents, I would use sheet aluminum 3/16, punch your vent holes or slots and powdercoat.

Work on the engine hatches. Went with a low profile design . Looking for stainless steel mesh for the air Inlets or a honeycomb design. Any ideas ? |

What are you guys thoughts on a highly reliable engine package. The 37 has #3s on boxes. I would like to cruise around 65-70. Reliably

My 37' Midnight did 70 all day long with HP 500's. I would think it's heavier than your 37. The tradeoff being that you are running though transmissions and SSM's. I had Bravos on mine. Still 65 should be attainable with this power.
