Also , this boat, while it tough to see this boat really appears to be 40'.
That boat here Bounty Hunter is a real 40 foot Cigarette raced by Billy Martin to a lot of wins.

Look on the side of the boat where the hull and deck are joined. Now imagine a 36 foot boat being stretched to a 40 foot. The back gets lower in the water. So Don added that step up so the transom and the exhausts would not be under water.

Billy liked the look so he added that style deck on his 36 without stretching it to a 40 footer.

Here are a few Performer ads, I believe BLACK JACK was a Performer too. They also made a 28' Donzi Sportsman copy.

Is it not a possibility that this is a cig? How many did they make 40' long. I guess I need to take a drive back down there and knock on the door. I'll bring my girlfriend she's better at that. Knock knock.... " hello sir, my boyfriend wants to look at your boat, and talk shop and bromance." LOL
How many Performers were made? For whatever it is worth it has a old style cig emblem on it. All the running gear is still on it too. Speedmasters and such.

That boat has been in the same spot for at least 10 yrs id guess , untouched. A Rot box by now most likely. but still catches my eye when I drive by.

Edit. Looks like it's been sitting untouched for almost 8 by info on other link
