Anyone know the history?
As some of you may know I picked up this 1981 Cigarette Squadron XII awhile ago. As far as I know, it was at LaMottas/Manhasset Bay Marina on Long Island NY from 1999 up to a few years ago where a friend of mine purchased it and brought it to CT. Perhaps some of the older board members on here who have had connections to 188th St around the time the Cigarette Squadron hulls were being produced, will know this boat? Curious on finding all the history on this thing as I can before I go to the marina on Wednesday to speak with Guy lamotta, who had the boat for many, many years.
What I do know, is that at some point it was re-rigged. Whatever motors it had to start were replaced with 509ci 725 MRD blower motors and the hull itself must have been changed around, since the interior is not factory and things on the deck were filled in.
Also, looking for original brochures/ads/info on these boats in general, as a quick search did bring up some cool information, but of course the more I find out the better Thanks!

Classic Offshore Powerboat Restoration page on FB has lots of old school racers, builders, owners, mechanics etc as members. I frequently see many histories unlocked when asked over there. I'm not on all of the boating FB forums; however, it's the most genuine I've found to date.

Great page thank you Tractionless for the lead. Over the past few weeks I was able to get some good information on my "new" boat from the previous owner, to people who recognized her.
