I was seriously considering a concept for my next new boat, however after reading this thread, I'll be looking at a nortec.
Take it for what it's worth.

Here we go again someone making a change after reading this thread without knowing the entire thruth on what this situation is all about. The only thing that everyone on this thread seems to do is bash.... Like you said Stainless Take it for what it's worth... I will say this Concept is here right now going strong and selling boats unlike other manufactures, we stand behind our products and handle every customer accordinaly with their situations.

Whether anyone wants to believe that or not thats their opinion, but I will say this over and over everyone needs to stop the bashing because NO ONE on here knows the truth nor do they know the situation and if anyone here says they do then they are FULL OF

I'm making my decision based on reading 150 posts in this thread and thinking what it would be like to be the customer making payments on his boat, not being able to use it, and when he gets it back it's gutted.
Your wonderful comments aren't helping your company out either.
Don't shoot the messenger !

He is not bashing, he is stating how he feels after reading about this 1 instance, A huge customer serivce instance, it's what people want when they spend their hard earned money on these boats or any boat. I think people here would like nothing more than to hear the truth and both sides, however that has not happened in what I have read.
For me, a former Concept owner this thread intrest me, and so will the outcome. I don't believe your comments would be the same if the shoe was on the other foot!!

Unfortunately we would like to speak about this let the entire truth come out but can not. We have been in business for 25 years and out of those 25 years and all the boats sold only situation has happened meaning this so I think we have proven our customer service to former, present, & new customers this is a situation that can not be talked about. People have the right to read and have their opinion but if i was in the other shoe I would not let one problem of a company that that has been building boats for 25 years damper my purchase. This is not a perfect world, no can please every customer in any business. Again people have the right to do as they please but it is unfortunate that problem dampers the decision on something. Thats my opinion.

My 30 was previously owned and not purchased from Conecpt, or a Concept dealer, I purchased from a private individual. I did call you guys during my ownership with 2 questions one was answered and one was not. The only other issue I had was resolved by the business who currently repairs and services my boat.
If I was to buy a new boat I would certainly find out all I could about the customer service of the company in case I did have a major Issue, and had to return the boat to the factory for a major type repair.
Apparently no resoloution has been made, relating to the boat this thread was originated, how unfortunate....
People have opinions based on what they know, and if the other side goes untold, then there nothing else to base an opinion on.... my .02

Stainless, I can't see how reading this thread would make you purchase a boat that is $175,000 or more than the Concept. Concepts seem like a great boat, but not in the same league as a NT. I was in a 39 in KW, what a boat. I wish the full story would come out also, but if reading a thread would make me able to buy that more of a boat, I would read it over and over.

I'm sure Concept has insurance that should cover this.

I've seen concepts over the years and they seemed like a lot of bang for the buck. I'm always on the lookout for something new. The 44 was very close to what I had in mind. However after reading this story of apparent very poor customer service, ive crossed them off my list. Contrast this to the nor tech 39 which I've seen in person ( haven't been on one for a ride yet) and nortec's reputation for happy customers, and multi time repeat customers and this leads me to lean in the direction of nor tech and away from concept. Obviously , when purchase time gets closer, I'll be doing a lot more up close and personal inspection before I buy.
