Thumbs up Nice Ride!

Really nice boat. Very well appointed, like the sport throttle/shifter setup(not the O/B standard), Upgraded gauges, heads up indicators etc. Lots of more expensive boats dont have any of that!

Anyhow, I still have 23 months left overseas. So no boat in my immediate future.

But, if you don't mind could you answer a few questions about the boat for me for future reference (plus it will give you a free TTT).

What is the actual hull length? 28 + the bracket makes it 30 or is the actual hull 30 feet? Is it 8' or 8' 6" wide?

What is the fuel consumption like?

What size prop does it turn? 23, 24?

Last but not least the million dollar question...whats 70+ mean? Whats a real world everyday speed with fuel and people?

John

Boat is 28' on the bottom. Not sure of fuel consumption as I own a supercharged 42' Fountain, so I think its great! Its turning labbed 25 Mirage plus. Best we've run was 74 MPH. The boat consistently runs high 68 MPH loaded. Don't expect this from a stock boat, as we spent a good bit of time and money tweaking the set up. When I bought it, it had 200 EFI's, and ran 52 MPH.

not quite ready yet, but if it's still available in a couple months I might be interested, need a couple big projects to come through at the navy base first.

Does concept put the graphics in the gel or vinyl? I assume the Total Marine Performance is a sticker?

Are they efi's or opti's?

How many hours?

Also, not trying to start anything, but didn't I hear something about the 30's having a bit of an issue with porposing?

I believe that may have only been the sportdeck.

Paint, no gel. If vinyl, boat would have been painted white and then vinyl put on.

The 30' CC bounced which is why they stepped the hull (only stepped hull in the fleet beside the massive 4400). The 30 SD was never built in a straight hull, only stepped.

The 30' CC ran well until larger power outboards came on the scene which pushed them to higher speeds which caused them to start bouncing. 50MPH boat did fine, 65MPH boat didn't do so well. Some have had modifications to minimize the bouncing but the real fix was stepping the hull.

The first stepped hulls had some issues that have been solved as far as I know. Hull design is of John Cosker, of Mystic powerboat fame.

ps- this 30 may not bounce and sorry to clutter your for sale thread.

If you are in the high 60's/low 70's then it sounds like you have it figured out, most big bouncers can't get past the low 60's...

Good luck with the sale!
