I have on 04' 30 with 225 opti's. It is obviously non step. I like my boat a lot, but would prefer a newer boat...who wouldnt? But my preference for a newer boat is not because it has a step although to me that is a benefit. So I would be basing my purchase as has already be said, on my budget and finding a good deal.
